Getting ready for first clutch, how do I set up my HovaBator?

RyanT Mar 04, 2005 03:14 PM

My female is about to lay eggs in 2-3 weeks. This is the first ball python clutch I've ever had and the first time I've ever used a HovaBator. Can someone explain to me how to properly set it up to be successful? I set it all up last night but I can't seem to get the temp below 100 degrees. As soon as I turn it on, it goes right to and stays at 100. If I turn it down any further, it shuts off. I just want to make sure I'm ready when the eggs come. And I'm worried about making sure everything is right. ANY comments are appreciated for this subject more than any others before. Thanks alot. Ryan.

plug it in........
set it on a stable table .........
turn it down one whole turn........
........
it turns on when temp drops to where it is NOW set to....

go from there........

use 3 thermometers to check each other........
.
ask about aspen bedding or thawing rats.......
