New Female and Questions About Tiger/Banded Balls.......

boachick85 Mar 04, 2005 04:41 PM

I'll be recieving this girl next week. Can't wait to get her! I love her tigery banded look. She's about 900 grams and ltc. Now, for my questions. I've seen people here and there advertising "genetic" banded/reduced pattern ball. Are these animals really genetic? If so, what kind of trait would it be? It seems like these "genetic" bandeds would work very well into albinos, pastels, ghosts, or pretty much whatever you wanted to combine them with. What do you think my girls chances of proven out genetic are? I don't reallt care either way, she's just an awesome looking snake regardless.

Congratulations - I was going to bid on this one, but I guess since he already sold her to you, I won't bother. Anyway, the genetics of banded balls still aren't quite clear. Tho babies do tend to look like thier parents, I'm not sure it's something that would carry over with another morph. She's nice, best of luck with her!

That's a nice looking girl. I've found that if you breed her to a male w/ simialr markings you will have mostly banded offspring. You may even produce some that are more extreme. If you breed her to an animal w/ the typical "alien head" markings, you will prob. get a mixture of both - some resembling one parent & some resembling the other. Good luck.....
