male and female fighting...

sebastian924 Mar 04, 2005 07:04 PM

Okay, my pair just mated about 2 weeks ago, exhibiting normal mating behavior: male chasing female, her eventually submitting, biting back of neck etc. Now, after they have pretty much ignored each other for 2 weeks, the male cornered the female, she squealed really loud, rapidly vibrated her tail (the thumping on the glass got my attention) and then actually pooped. The male walked away after this, and female just lay still. Anything to worry about?

That isnt much to worry about, but I would seperate them. The female is probably gravid, but the male still wants to mate. That could stress her out since she wont be at all receptive. If the male keeps making advances they could become more violent, and the female could drop her tail during a fight.
