Are Hypo Hogs Hypo Hogs or are they Hypo some other....

Are Hypo Hogs Hypo Hogs or are they some type of another hypo BCI bred to a Hog Island? In other words...are there TRUE Hog hypos or are they produced through selective breeding to another BCI?

I'm seen more "hypo Hogs" advertised and mentioned recently than what I remember 2 years ago. Just curious because if I venture into BCI (still headed in that direction) a few Hogs would be my first choice.

Thanks,
Linda

The hypo Hogs you see for sale are a cross between Hypomelanistic Colombian BCI, and a Hog Island. Some have gone through multiple generations, but they have Colombian blood and are not Pure Hog Isles.

They are still nice, You may want to get 1.1 Pure hogs and .1 hypo hog. This way you can work with the pure animals, and still enjoy the hypo useing your male for her.

BCI are great, Good Luck!
