Waterfall

Hi,

Have any of you ever used the Exo Terra waterfalls? Supposedly they stimulate natural habits (since beardies dont drink out of standing water, at least not mine). Whats your opinion on them?

Thanks,
Mitch

I didn't get the waterfall becasue you have to pay for the pump seperate and it was too expensive but i bought just the pump and made a little sort of pond and now my beardie will drink from it. ( the water is only 2cm deep so he can hurt himself.
A friend of mine has one and she says her beardie won't drink from it. i suppose it depends on the beardie but i think its a lot of money if they won't drink from it.

I got that waterfall for Draconis, and it was a complete waste of money, not to mention a headache. Draconis drank from it once, and the rest of the time he would climb to the top of it and sit right on the pump emmiter, causing water to flow out of the waterfall and into his sand (which he had at the time). The sand would get moist by the water, then the basking lamp would heat the sand, causing high humidity. Not to mention crickets would love to hide in and around the falls, then drown and clog up the filtration pump. A cool-looking tank decoration, but not practical for beardies. They'll probably ignore it if your lucky, and if they don't you'll be dealing with A LOT of the above. Stay away from it.

I know. Sometimes you'd swear they were human. Inquisitive, happy, ticked off... LOL!

Gizmo hasnt been drinking from the waterfall. Looks like a waste. They also sell water bowls that makes bubbles in the water. Think this would help?
