These are VERY hardy snakes to keep (obviously, you don't want to get bit). We keep several on display at my wildlife museum. We keep a single specimen in a 5' x 3' enclosure that has a thermal gradient of the low 70's on the cool side and into the mid to upper 80's on the warm side with a basking area that reaches 90-92 deg. F. Night temps drop to the upper 60's to low 70's. At these temps our atrox have done very well.
