Panthers are in no way the biigest species. I think it is the Parson's chamelon or maybe Mellers.

I'm going to have to go with the parsons on this one.
The largest chameleon in the world is definately the Parsons, which is followed by the Outsaleti, Verrucosus and the Mellers.
Of all African species it is C. melleri. Of all Malagasy species it is probably yellow or white lipped Parson's (Calumma parsoni parsoni). Oustaleti is close and might have a longer tail, but Parson's are more massive.

1.0 Veiled Chameleon (Chiquito)
1.0 Black Racer Snake (Chong)
1.1 Eastern Box Turtles (Athena and Mercury)
Parson's, by a long shot. they're much heavier than anything else. Oustelet's are the longest, but anything over 36" is a report, and not confirmed. Follow that up by melleri and verrucosus, then veilds, pardalis and deremensis...I think that's the right order, but verrcosus and melleri may be switched.
I have seen some veilds the size of melleri, but they are not that way on average.
