Aztec genetics question

Intempesta_Nox Mar 05, 2005 04:48 PM

Im wondering about the genetics being the aztec/zigzag pattern in corns. I know that its not simple recessive, and by breeding an aztec to a normal you can produce a varying degree of aztecs, and there have been cases of breeding two aztecs together and getting a clutch of mostly normal snakes. The main question I have is if the normal appearing snakes carry the aztec gene, or do the ones displaying the aztec pattern only carry the gene?

yes

as you said it's not simple.......

I've bred hundreds of aztecs.......

and most end up crappy ....(good word choice)........

good aztecs come from good aztec to good aztec....

I use nrmals het amel and lav with good to NICE patterns.....lavenders with and without patterns........opals with great patterns......and amels with good and bad patterns....

I think normal ones throw alot of normal kids.........

better pattern is what you want to start with.....

and they are cheap if you go to the right places.......I've seen opal males for as low as $40............

Hey, that looks just like my little girl! I havn't been able to figure out what morph she is...they sold her to me as a creamsicle, but I don't think so, too much redish pinkish on her. But she looks just like that!
