I'm sure many of you have seen this before, but for the newbies its nice to put a face with someone that posts on here. This is me and bigote. Bigote is tagolog(phillipenes) for beard. Bigote died last summer. This was one of my senior pics. Im not much to look at but he sure is a hansome dragon.

His name is radar. This pic is when he was five weeks old and his first day home. He was so tired he just fell asleep on my chest. try getting him to do that now is impossible. He is like a super charged ferret,lol. Ill try to get recent pics of him soon.

I have raised him since he could barly eat a baby guppy. Now he eats anything. He eats right out of my hand too.

Heres one of my males. he's a hypo x yellow. I can never capture how colorfull he really is. He has amazing lavander/blue sidebars on a bright light yellow body, with hints of orange in his face and beard. His name is Fiji.

I didnt mean for it to sound like I was downing myself. I was just joking around. I am sorry too. He was my first male. I still have A female that used to be in with him . She is 9 years old.

your welcome! have you ever thought about breeding your female? OH! and your lionfish is REALLY wonderfull looking! i thought they had red on them? he/she looks white and black...or is it just the pic?

The 9 year old female I have is just one of 11 beardies I have. Last summer she gave me two clutches of about 20 eggs each clutch. And the babies hatched out with red stripes. both the parents were normals too! And as far as the lionfish goes thy come in two different color phases. Red and the less common black. I have black phase. And he has the longest fins and spines ive ever seen on a lionfish. And Ive seen hundreds of them. I'll try to post another pic of him. And if you want more pics I can email anyone who wants to see.

Aren't these poisonous?? So, do you need a license to own one?? Your fish is very cool looking!! If you dont mind me asking, how much did he cost??

Yes they are poisonous. But where I live (michigan) you only have to be 18 to own venomous and poisonous animals. Then you have to check with the city too. But since its a fish im not sure it would be illigal even in states that restrict the ownership of venoumus animals. You would have to check with your city hall. And I actually I got him for next to nothing. My younger sister is friends with the owner of the shops daughter. I got him for like $20-$25 I dont remember. Around here Ive seen lionfish go for as much as $250 especially the black phase. But I'm sure you can find one for reasonable prices. My first lionfish was around $40 and thats the average cost of a normal lionfish. Hope this helps and if you or anyone else has any more questions feel free to ask.

i have some new pics i took of carrick just the other day that should be developed by this evening, i hope, that i would like to send him, all the pics he has seen are of him at 7 months and younger, hes a year and 1 month old now.

Yeah I got your email, I was going to get the info for you and email you sometime today. I have his email adress but I am going to look for the number for you too. I emailed him and havent heard from him, and that was like 2 weeks ago. So I'll give you the number too.
