Last night the female shed so....we should be getting ready to lay here pretty soon. Should I take the water dish out of her cage? I remember we had a discussion a while back about the dangers of not providing fresh water at all times. She has stopped eating at this point. See if you can tell which pics are the male and which are the gravid female....So to answer my question from a few months back....Snakes at 6 yrs can go through a growth spurt if fed well and housed properly. Both my animals have really grown in the 6-7 months I have had them. So the average waiting time from shed to lay is about 3 weeks? C-ya

I would keep water dish in cage, certainly nothing large enough she could decide to lay eggs in. I provide a nesting box within the cage. Mine happen to be 26x18in. I fill box with moist white paper towels and add more as ones in box get compacted. She'll probably take at least 2 - 3 weeks to lay eggs. Good luck with fertility.
