Food question

Does anyone know if applesauce is ok for uros? I haven't tried it yet but I checked out the ingrediants: apples, glucose-fructose, water. That's it. I just want to be sure it's safe before giving anything to Ra.
I'm also going to try growing some dandelions from herbicide-free dandelion seeds indoors so that I'll have dandelions year-round. If it works, maybe I could send some seeds out to people who don't have access to dandelions. They should be easy enough to grow because they are weeds.

hi,
From the archived forums, I found that applesauce should be alright in moderation. I feed my juvie mali organic apple babyfood. It's really cheap and he loves it! I wouldn't feed it more than once or twice a week at most.
My Mali sometimes gets some on his belly and then his birdseed substrate sticks to him! I don't know if it is the heat mixed with the babyfood, or just the brand I buy, but the seeds can be a pain to get off, especially since he gets annoyed that I am picking at him. LOL! He's just like a little kid!

Yeah, dandelions grow alright. Problem is, they grow through almost anything, so you may get problems with the roots braking the pots. But good luck tell me how it works out, cause it's kind of hard finding non-toxic dandelions around here.
I'm currently trying to grow collard greens (from collard I bought - I just potted it). It's kind of hard to find it over here, cause they are mostly grown for cattle food - and hence full of pecticides. Also growing endive from seeds. I really need a garden..
