This link may help answer some of your questions. I was under the impression that the number of eggs in each clutch would vary and that if the female got dystocia she would degrade in health relatively quickly. Seems like you've been this route before, but are you giving her calcium glubionate drops during her gravid periods? Hope you are wrong about the dystocia!

She seems to be regaining her health judging by her apperance. Thanks for the link to that web site. I have not been using calcium because she eats 2" body size mice and always shelled her eggs with no apparent problem. Do you think I should start?

It is always important to give extra doses of calcium before during and after egg laying for females. Producing eggs drains an awful lot of calcium out of their bodies and they need extra to replenish it. If not you can run into all sorts of egg laying problems

Glad everything seems to be doing better!

I am giving my females of egg laying age calcium glubionate drops (I got mine from:link below)
I am giving them twice weekly instead of weekly during egg laying season. Mine won't eat pinkies but I think I'd give them to your female at least once per week even with the live prey and their calcium benefits. Glad to hear that she's feeling better. never know, next month you may have more eggs!
