because i know theres a lot of people who have been going crazy looking for female henkeli...but today while i was at work, a friend of mine called me to give me the news that one of the local mom n pop shops had a female henkeli in. if that wasnt good enough, she was only out for $60. so i have her on hold for me till i get the chance to go and pick her up. i really didnt believe it when he said it, because you all know how rare it is to find uroplatus in most pet shops. i was weary that it was henkeli, i figured it was a mislabeled fimbriatus, but i told him to check the eyes for me, and he said its definitely a henk. just when i thought it couldnt get any better, he mentioned that this female has actually laid a pair of eggs in the past (which leads me to think this is a LTC). so it seems like she'll make a good captive breeder to add to the collection. sadly i havent seen her myself yet nor have i talked to the guys at the shop, but you guys know you'll see her soon after i do. weeeee!!!!

WOW! If it is actually a female Henkeli, GET IT!! $60 is a STEAL! I hope it works out for you, and you end up getting it if it is a female henkeli!! Erik

well i picked her up this morning, and she's real nice and in great shape. unfortunately, i couldnt get much info from the owner of the pet store, supposedly a friend of his had her for 3 or 4 years, but he couldnt tell me whether she was WC or CB. either way, shes looking good, good body size, a perfectly hydrated. shes got a different pattern from both of the other 2 henks, but i have yet to even see her color up at night. looks like shes a dark greenish brown with a few lighter patches, almost looks like an overgrown mossy! pics soon
she's really nice. awesome deal for what i paid, still cant figure out why anyone would practically give her away at that price. anyway, enough words, we need pics!
