I am getting my first green tree python and setting up a Vision 222 for him. What do you recommend as the best materials, set up and installation? I would prefer a perch that is easily removed. Thank you very much-Bill.

I like the idea of using PVC endcaps, partially cut in half.
Like the picture below. Attach to your Vision with screws or rivets.

I don't use vision cages, but thought I would run my mouth anyway. My cages are made of thicker plastic and I just use the screw and eye method (check out the caging section on FineGtps.com). I use this technique for my adult carpets and it works very well. I don't think this would work on a vision though.
Closet rod holders may also work, but again you would have to screw them through the plastic,I don't know if this will work on a vision. I use closet rod holders in rubbermaids for chondros.
I would recomend using 2 thin strips of plastic (2" long or so, 1/2' wide, and maybe a 1/4"-1/2" thick)and glueing them in a "v" shape to the sides of the cage. (2 strips on each side-4 total)
I see acrylic cages that use these kind of perch holders.
Really there are a million things that will work. Just go to the hardware store and be creative.
Hope this helps-Good Luck
Ben
I'd go with the endcaps that chris harper showed you, but you may want to consider using a bamboo stick from walmart. I haven't got any of them, but brandon osbourne (i think) told me about those (you can get them from walmart in the decor crap area.. like fabrics and flower stuff)... they are mildew resistant (naturally).. i'm considering getting a couple to try out.
