Um, keeping them together, or just in general?

Ok then, I had a female bassie in with my two female CWD for a few months. The bassie was the same size as the others, but had major attitude and was aggressive, so I had to separate them. The bassie ended up finding a new home. They never actually injured each other, but she was always running at them with her mouth open, and I didnt want my CWD to get hurt.

Thee are 3 peole on repticzone.com that have basilisks and CWD in the same enclosure and they seem to co-habitate nicely. I bought a green basilisk 3 weeks ago and put it in with my 3-2yr. old dragons and one of them killed it. They didn't eat him, but he had bite marks all over him. My dragons won't even eat pinkies and I was devstated when they chomped on the basilisk. WDM, Master of Cold Blood and SKJonett(sic?) are the three that have basilisks in addition to Chinese Water Dragons.

That story would be enough proof for me, but even if they don't actually attack each other there is still stress. Before my wife and I got pregnant, my waterdragons were free roaming and had a whole room to themselves and even with an entire 6X9 rooom the smaller mountain horned lizards I tried to introduce would not come within eye shot of the larger waterdragons even though they showed no overt aggression toward them. Basically my point is that it doesn't matter how much room they have, if they are both territorial and can see each other your going to have issues.

I've had two baby basilisks for a while now, they're getting up over 10 inches; a male and a female. A little over a week ago I introduced a slightly larger female CWD (12 inches) into their cage. They all pretty well ignored each other for a while, I kept an eye on their color and behavior to watch for any stress...well, after a week they're eating together, sleeping together, in general getting along beautifully. I'm not certain this would work with older, more established animals, but I don't foresee any future problems. I specifically went with the ages and genders I did in order to intentionally avoid any territorial combat, and it seems to be working.

This month the three are moving from their 20gal long tank to a 450gal custom enclosure I'm currently building.
