Growth Rate

Bluejacket Mar 06, 2005 09:56 AM

My son is doing a science project on Reticulateds and asked me to find out some info on them. First, what is the average size at birth? Second, what kind of growth rate do they exhibit? Somebody mentioned to my son that they can achieve 8 feet by 6 months of age, but this seems outrageous to me. Is it possible? Thanks.

I would say a baby is around 2 to 2 1/2 feet a birth, and yes they can reach 8 feet at 6 months with heavy feeding.
