as a former owner of a pair of finschi, i can tell you they did well in an enclosure that incorporated deep oak leaf substrate, a stack of logs and branches for climbing, hiding, a large water container for swimming, and a hot basking spot for basking. mine did well on mice and crickets, and also chicken meat and eggs once in a while. i kept humidity high, my ambient in cage was mid 80s. hot spot measured 130. they are gorgeous lizards that can hide most of the time, my female was way more inquisitive, and was fed by hand. she laid 2 infertile clutches for me last summer. good luck. -john
ps, i have pics in my web gallery under papuan species.
