hi, i am going to the san diego reptile show on july 12 and want to purchase a uro or two there.i have been reading up on them for the last month or so, am curious on a few things! first how much do ornamate uros go for? how about saharra uros? and how are mali uros? what about pairing them up to at a young age? or do you waite untel they are older?

depending on the size and whether they are imported or captive bred, ornates are generally AT LEAST $200 a piece and the sky is the limit from there. saharas are generally under $100. malis are even less. you can get a captive bred mali for under $100 and, if you have never had uros before, they are good to start on. mine are very hardy and good tempered. i have never had a problem with my malis getting a long (male, 2 females, one of which was recently introduced). deer fern farms has some interesting theories about housing uros together, i really recommend you check out their site (they also have descriptions of most types of uros that are available in the u.s.)
