JETZEN Mar 09, 2005 07:42 PM

yours looks better (lots more red) was yours expensive? mine cost me TWO 01' pregnant corns plus $40 and the seller tossed in a 04' 0.1 floridana. What line is yours?

ChristopherD Mar 09, 2005 08:23 PM

mine were for sale at a local show by a "jobber"under the name albino blotched. 60 a piece for 1.1? the only 2 he had. Chris

you got a good deal IMO, plus yours looks full blooded, mine is obviously a cross king.

What makes you think its got Cali in it? It seems strange someone would breed a Ricks strain lav into a cali king(?)

Or do you beleive the lavender came from a calif king and then bred to a floridana...(CALIxFLORIDANA)..and then bred to a goini??

This animal was sold to me as a albino goini-X-brooksi the seller had no information on it's background he got it from somebody who got it from somebody. HOW do you know who's line this is? Have you seen a baby pic of it or seen it's parents. ALL i stated is it would not surprise me if there is cali genes in it's background is that to far fetched? for this day and age? and I guess no one will no for sure. In the meantime i'm gonna call it what was on the deli-cup!NOTHING SURPRISES ME IN THIS HOBBY! anyway nevermind about me what do you think of the snake? I paid TWO pregnant 01' corns for it and $40 plus the seller tossed in a 04'floridana also with unknown background. I think I got the better end of the deal I was just lucky to have my table next to theirs they were GOOD GUYS.
here's the floridana

Well if you got it from someone that got it from someone ect...then nothing would surprise me in its gentics history either. Just trying to get some backround info on the snake because these types of floridna x goini interest me.

What do you plan on breeding her to?

...BTW NICE SNAKE

JETZEN Mar 06, 2005 09:31 PM

sorry i seemed kinda perturbed,How about a RED&BLACK blotched then breed the siblings togeather, then the best one they produce back to momma,I DON'T KNOW! what do you think? you know more than i do.

bluerosy Mar 06, 2005 10:19 PM

bring out the reds the best you can.

I know you have got some of the best red goini I have seen.

JETZEN Mar 06, 2005 10:51 PM

I also got a great 1.1 Lav. speckleds and a super great cross getula, i don't know how i get so lucky, must be jetula karma, lol, Are you ever gonna produce those Rainer OBX again?

bluerosy Mar 06, 2005 10:59 PM

not sure what you mean by OBX? Do you mean the F2 hypo brooksi X easterns that came out black and white after I bred the hets together?

JETZEN Mar 07, 2005 07:19 AM

those are the ones, are you ever gonna produce those again?

bluerosy Mar 07, 2005 08:30 AM

I hope so. I am doing the same paring and hopefully I will get more hypos this time as well.

Do you want some?

bluerosy Mar 07, 2005 10:16 AM

just a pic

Kevin Saunders Mar 07, 2005 12:20 PM

I was wondering what those looked like as they put on some size. Do they look different from your other brooksi/eastern crosses?

bluerosy Mar 07, 2005 04:38 PM

that is a pic of an '04 from a het to het easternXbbrooks breeding. The weird thing is all the normal looking (possible het) babies came out solid black and white. Nothing like the het parents. There was a thread about it a while ago about where all the yellows and reds disappeared to in the F2 generation..

Kevin Saunders Mar 07, 2005 05:25 PM

I really like the look of the black and whites. I'm more into ratsnakes than kings at the moment but there are just too many variations in these brooksi and crosses to not take notice. I would be very interested to see how those hets turn out.
