My female amel has been acting funny lately. Usually a good eater, she has refused her two last meals including the last one immediately following a shed skin. These past three days, she's been unusually active. I began to think maybe she has a second clutch and put a bowl of moist vermaculite in her cage which she has ignored. Today I decided to let her out for some extra excercise and noticed that along her mid section for about a foot on the scales about six rows to either side of the spine were sort of cracked they had a verticle line right down the middle. I'd never noticed this on her or any other snake before. I would suspect dry skin, but she just shed a perfect full skin a few days ago and the rest of her scales are fine. Are the erratic behavior and these odd scales related or two totally separate issues. Please advise. Thanx
