how do I migrate my monitor from live to f/t?

reamk924 Mar 07, 2005 07:13 AM

I bought a blue tail already feeding on live prey, but wanted to start feeding him f/t. How do I go about making the change?

Thanks,
Deborah

Monitors aren't like snakes... let yours get hungry... thaw the f/t and make it warm then use tongs or forceps to jiggle it a bit in front of him.. shouldn't have any problem with him eating it. Unless he's shy.. then just leave it somewhere in the cage for him to find it.

Wiggle it, shake it, drag it around the cage if that works. Lets the monitor smell it, that may be all it takes, most monitors will take frozen thawed very readily.
