Hey, do cyclura have-

glands in there chest or front legs, somewhere up there. My rhino was out in the yard for the 1st time this year and besides marking by defecating and dragging his backend he would drop his front legs and rub the front end in the grass. It was defintely as if he was marking.
The next day my hybrid was out and tracked the rhinos path from the day before and remarked all the same places. He rubbed his chest on the ground too but not as much. My rhino is not shedding that part of him. I did check that out.

I think I know exactly what your talking about...I have seen my rhinos do that from time to time. I have always considered it just stretching out to improve for shedding, but you may be on to something ? There is definitely some scents being spread around. I have a female that normally lives with one male, but if I put her in with the other she must be bathed prior to cleanse the scent off - otherwise she gets treated like a rival male.
