Jackson's Chameleon cage plans

rjglbws Jul 08, 2003 02:26 PM

I will be getting a 4 week old Jackson's chameleon in a couple of weeks. Since she will be so small what size of cage should I make to put her in for now (I don't want pinhead crickets and baby fruitflies wandering around the house and I also want to make sure she will be able to find them to eat)? I have researched on the internet all the stuff that will be needed for her habitat, so I want to have everything ready for her when she does arrive. Only dilemma is the cage. Will she have to be transferred from several cages until she is able to live in adult cage? Where can I find plans for the cages? Thanks in advance for the help.

i would keep her in about a 20 gallon tall aquarium but that would be small...about a 40gallon aquarium would work untill she gets to be 3-4 months old then she should be moved into a screen cage.
