Hello friends, I went around taking some photos today of some of the skeletal remains of varanids that I have in my collection, namely skull and jaw components.
Here I have paired up the lower jawbone of an 87 cm TL female Black Tree Monitor (Varanus beccarii) with the lower jawbone of a 127cm (8.5') TL male Crocodile Monitor (Varanus salvadorii).
In the last few shots, the lower jawbone of the V. salvadorii is shown with teeth from the upper jaw of the same animal, with a penny as a source of scale that we could all relate to.
