today in helga's poop (i think, hugo seems a little bloated) there were three white rice looking things. these are worms right?

Yum tape worms!Don't ask me how a hairless animal can get tape worms but they do. Vet time and he will give you meds to get rid of them. I had that problem with my son iguana.

curse words! i knew it. i think helga had them when i first got her. why couldn't she have waited two more weeks when i was on spring break? so if they don't have fleas and are never outside, does anyone know how they get them?

I have no idea and I asked my vet and he said that they just do. Either way I think it is gross. Get meds and she will be ok.

Please read the following paragraph under heading "Parasite Management" from Deer Fern Farms. I've seen the little white nematodes that you described and those aren't necessarily tape worm. In fact some nematodes could actually be good for your uro by aiding in the digestive process. Hope this helps.
