she should be ready to drop any day now. I have been letting her crawl over my hand and you can fill all the big eggs in there so will see. I will be showing them if or when she does drop. thanks.

Is probably to purchase a Hobavator. You can probably find
one locally (try the feed stores) for about $50 and have it
setup in no time at all. I used them years ago and they work
just fine.

As an added precaution, I always use a backup thermostat (you
can use an A-life type on/off thermostat...they cost about $30).

Good luck!

I couldn't suggest a better incubator. When I worked for a large commercial breeder in the mid 90's, he had a large incubator that cost him around $4k to build. It had double french doors and was almost air tight. The egg capacity was about 500-600 large python eggs.....maybe even more. The average hatch from the unit was around 40-50%. I told him to sell it and buy a hovabator for every clutch. We modified them to fit large shipping boxes which measured a little longer than the typical square boxes. That season we produced about 20 clutches of Burms, Sri Lankas, Indians, Bloods, etc......with a 100% hatch rate. If you have a Rural King or TSC(tractor supply company) in your area, you can get them for about $30. With the modified version, you should be able to fit about 6 clutches of ball eggs in there. I just put the vermiculte or perlite directly in the bottom and incubated the eggs WITHOUT an egg box. The last clutches I incubated with this method were burms. I put 2 clutches in one box with a total of 56 eggs and got 100% hatch. Sorry for rambling. Good luck.

It looks like you have the room just move the 1 container in the far corner and lay your other eggs directly on about a 1/2 inch layered newspaper in the incubator spray down the newspaper every 2-3 days ontop and most definitly in between each sheet that will keep ample moisture without the eggs sitting directly in water i did it with my very first clutch and i had a 100% hatch rate(begginers luck is gr8) go to walmart and get you a accurite digital thermometer in the hardware dept. for $8-$9 and just put the probe down one of the aeration holes in the middle of the incubator and just make your daily fine tunings for heat
ill show you a pic of my incubator setup in case you want to go big time

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the heating elements you are using? I have been looking for some like that.

Thanks,

What I did a few years back was, just used a 28q and my rack that I use for the snakes, it took a little bit longer but out of two clutches all hatched with one still born. I'll probably do the same this year.

This is what I did last year when I got 2 suprise clutches. I took a big plastic storage container and put 8 inches of water in it. I put a big aquarium water heater with adjustable dial in the water and set it to 89 and double checked it with thermometer. I then put 2 bricks in it and sat the containers with the eggs on the bricks. Put the lid on and rapped the sides with towels to hold in the heat. This worked great and I a 100% hatch rate.
