Like this one? I believe this one is from Nevada. I do not know who sells them but if you find out, let me know as I want more.

great looking snake. I posted about them while ago well not giving info but asking if anyone had them. Petstore I go to has them here and theRe during late summer and plan to get two.
Do you see him much or mostly hides in sand like a kenyan sand boa?
Does yours eat crickets,insects?
Do you use under tank heat or overhead? I ask because since a digging snake thought overhead heat might be best.
I plan to house two together in 20 gallon long with sand, driftwood and small water bowl. Any input, ideas?
If my petstore doesnt get them than will order from glades.
thanks.

They are out half the time looking for food if you do not over feed them. Actually, they will hide in small caves or small rock piles vice being under the sand all the time. Mine eats crickets and have not tried other foods and overhead lighting is better as an under tank heater would cook them. A 20 gallon is fine for them and a 10 would be fine for two or even three of them. The nevada one I have has much more personality of the other type I have. The nevada one will chase my finger along the cage to bite it and will rear back in a coil and strike. For a ground snake they have excellent sight it seems.

I have seen them every summer for sale at www.gherp.com and here and there at Marc Lucas(dont know the site but he has ads in classifieds).
I dont know why but even in my area pet store it has only been during June to Aug when I have seen them.
They are great looking I plan to get some to.
