What type of heat?

rusti Mar 08, 2005 02:00 PM

how warm is warm enough on the hot side of the cage?

I have an UTH already, but I dont think it's keeping the cage warm enough. what should I use for extra heat?

basking spot lamp? Halogen bulbs? ceramic infrared heat emitters? black light incandescent light bulbs?

thanks

What is your cage set up like? What size? What size UTH? What substrate? What are you using as a top? What's you humidity? what are you using to measure your temps and where are you measuring them at?

I'd stay away from lamps as they tend to suck the humidity, but can't really tell you what to use better without knowing what you've got.
