Ok first let me start by saying.. Go easy on me lol I've only built a napkin holder in wood shop and that was like a zillon years ago.

The items I have to work with are many screw drivers, hammer, wrench, needle nose plyers, an electric drill, cordless drill and a jig saw. That about covers our tools. Oh yeah and a hand saw. The drills and jig saws were only used to make bird toys. Nothing that requires any real skills lol.

So ok, I would Like to make a bearded dragon enclosure. I have no idea how I would go about this.

I want the UV and heat sourses inside
front glass sliding doors
vents? will the top have to be screen or can i use the wood with the holes in it??
waterfroof-well the floor at least (for cleaning)
4x2x2
something to set it on about a ft off the ground
maybe with wheels?

I originally wanted to put the englosure ontop of my desk, but the shelf isnt wide enough, its 4x1 and I cant have it hanging over that much, can i? lol

Im thinking I'd like it to look something like this;

or
http://forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=727477,727477

or something like this but bigger and no screen on top,

So how do I do it? Whats a full list of what I would need?
kind of wood, screws, measurements? Estimated price? Cheaper the better lol as long as it will work and hold up.

I want to be able to stain the outside a dark walnut or deep mahogany, what brand would you suggest I use what would be the safest?

I'm getting my things at home depot if that helps anyone lol

Just looking for Easy, basic, efficent, not an eye sore enclosure

So can anyone help me?

PS
home depot cuts wood the size ya need right? Is this done free of charge?
