ok so my beardie layed eggs id say 3 weeks ago, chilled for a week, than started scratching like she had eggs again., chilled for another 2 days and now is scratching all over. i set up her cage incase she needs to lay eggs, but she just wont do it, she just digs, ruins her burrow than diggs more. Im really worried and would like to get her back to normal as soon as possible cause it really stresses me out. tips appreciated.

In my opinion she may or may not have eggs to lay again (scratching and digging may have nothing to do with eggs). If she does, she may find your nesting options unsuitable. You may want to make adjustments in that area.

Good luck,

Ian

i set up her cage exactly like it was when she first laid her eggs except is not soaked in water, only a little wet would this cange it?

If in fact it is a nesting related issue, reptiles in general definitely have preferences regarding moisture content. If I may borrow from an infamous herper, "humid and dry" comes to mind. That is to say that too wet a substrate is not good. A good humidity level with a substrate on the drier side (barely moist) may be more satisfactory.

Of course it could be a number of other variables as well.

I am hoping some folks with nesting experience will jump in here as I have not bred beardies.

Also, many of my beardies, both male and female, at times will dig and scratch relentlessly...

Good luck,

Ian

If you think she may have eggs but wont lay, you may want to see a vet incase she's eggbound (which can be lethal!) Good Luck!
