Hmm...I think Albino Nelsons and Hondurans are really sharp looking. Florida Kings are another favorite of mine...cool new morphs have been showing up with them. Lots of new morphs with Black Rats too. Brazilian Rainbow Boas are neat too, a little more demanding than colubrids. Just my 2 cents.

When you say you want a new project, are you talking morphs, or just general species? That'll alter any feedback.
I'm not really familiar with breeding but I'll just toss some wierd stuff out there... There's rubber boas, sunbeam snakes, western hognoses, rosy boas, some kind of tricolor mountain king (I know you can get baby Baja mountain kings for 150), trans pecos rat snakes, some kind of lovely garter snake morph, some kind of high end pine/bull snake- (maybe pitch black black pines?) Patch nosed snakes? (never seen those offered though) If you're feeling brave, some kind of nasty little racer, (drymobius margaritiferus is dropjaw gorgeous) or maybe some kind of european or asian rat snake that I'm totally unfamiliar with.
Hope this helps and good luck.

An interesting and underappreciated snake that might be worth investigating would be Amazon Tree Boas.
You can get a variety of color morphs and even the most expensive morphs don't cost more than $200. They are really cool display snakes!
Of course, this is predicated on the supposition that you don't need a snake that you can handle. They can be downright nippy and boy do they have long teeth!
