Hello everyone,
I just wanted to make sure, as I seem to be very hesitant when I do this, that palpating and the general careful picking up and moving of a gravid ball is aok for the developing eggs.

I know it seems like a stupid question, and I'm very sure in the wild they go through all sorts of "tramatic things" worse then palpating, like sqeezing in tight spots, or having to slither off away from a predator, but I just need reasurance that I'm not killing her babies before they are even in the incubator.

Here is the deal. I hope I don't sound to harsh, but I would say try not to disturb the gravid ball that much. You can palpate her but when you are through put her up. In my opinion once they are gravid you want to mess with them as little as possible. I do palpate my ball pythons on a regular basis to feel the developing folicals/Eggs with no problems. But like I said palpate her and then leave her alone. Thanks DAVID
