virgin pictus eggs

eryxboa Mar 08, 2005 08:11 PM

I posted a few days ago, about my pictus gecko laying eggs. The only problem is that she hasnt been around any other geckos for a few years. As far as I can tell, the egg is still in good shape. It doesnt show any signs of being infertile. I was wondering what the best guess would be
1.some geckos lay infertile eggs
2. parthogenesis
3. some geckos can store sperm for 2 years

This species doesn't need to be with a male to produce eggs, although for them to be fertile she will need to be with a male.
