Virgin eggs

eryxboa Mar 08, 2005 08:17 PM

I recently found eggs in my pictus geckos enclosure. I found them in time, and they seem to be doing fine. That was a few days ago, but my gecko has not been around other geckos for over two years. I was wondering if leopard geckos ever do this. Could she have stored sperm, or be parthogenetic, or the eggs may just be infertiile. However the eggs are still doing fine.

I'm not sure on Pictus Geckos.. You might try in the Gecko Forum, too - http://forums.kingsnake.com/forum.php?catid=48

But I know that with Leos, they shouldn't be holding the sperm for 2 years... They should be infertile, if she hasn't been with any other geckos.
