Relative to regular cornsnake breeding, how hard is it to get hybrids of king-corn or milk-corn?
Without the chance of the corn becoming a meal you have a higher probability of a successful breeding of a corn to breed a king or milk than other hybrid crosses.
That's good to hear. I just have 1 corn now, but I'm getting something else this summer and wasn't sure what. I want to get a milk of some kind, but I also want to breed corns eventually just for the experience. Maybe I can do a little of both - I didn't know there were any hybrids other than the jungle corns out there.
I've skimmed over this entire subforum in the last hour or two and from what I gather, I'd still need a third snake (a female corn since the one I have now is a male) if I wanted to do corn X milk, right?
Yes a female corn would help but NOT guarantee a breeding. The best thing is get pairs of both and get them excited before doing the switcharoo
That's a good point. Oh well, it might make for an interesting project in a couple of years. Any ideas why the Jungle Corn popularity has taken off like it has while other corn hybrids have yet to do so? Up until last night I had no idea there were even other corn hybrids available (or that it was even possible).
