what would be a good sized cage for a hingeback tortoise or two? ed

If you are talking a forest type hingeback, they can be kept in surprisingly small containers but, of course, the bigger the better. 2 x 4 feet is a good starting size and adjust it as you see the need. Depending on how active the tortoises are will depend on how much space you will need.

I have had our male forrest hingeback for a little over 4 years and it took all of the first year for him to come out when I am around .He moves around very well in about that space and occasionally will hop out and walk around the room.He stilol does not come out for anyone other than me.We also have 2 bell hingebacks but they are very out going as compared to him..
