...photos of the parents? Those are definitely what I would call "fine line" boas. Nice!!

They all look very unique. I personally like them. But going through the pcitures it looks as if the phenotype (what you see) was a result of bad temperatures during developement.

Known as temperature variations.

I don't mean to put you down. Can you post pictures of all the babies. Did any look premature?

bethoven Mar 09, 2005 09:53 AM

i'm sure the litter looks not so about bad temperatures,i breed boas many years and i never has a litter like this before!
the female has every day/night the same temperature,no different temperatures.

at this time i can you only send a pic with 12 babys, the other boas are sold to a petstore, sry.
but you can belive me they all looks like this boas.
some from the babys has "normal" pattern but they also very red/orange.

i hope i can produce more from this boas in the next years...
than i can check the genetic from this boas.

the pictures do not justice the boas in anyway, sry but i only have this bad digicam.

Mutations are either environmental or genetic.

So here's to hoping yours are genetic! Good Luck!

I just went by the odd, to say the least, appearance.

Breed them and find out!

i can post pics from the parents in the next days, that is np.

about the history i can only say i have buyed 2002 5 males on a reptile show,i think this boys are pastels or whatever... they are very red and looks really nice!
1 from the 5 males i have breed to my big mama and now i got this litter from my normal female and my very red male!
i hope i can breed next year also the other boys to my boa females ...
i'm not sure about the genetic but only the male is very red but he has "normal" pattern, the mother is only a very, very big female but they looks normal.

i have breed in the last years with this mother but i allways get only normal boas in the litter.

all boas from this litter are very strong red/orange with different pattern.
what kind of boas are the litter... pastels??

i'm sry for my bad english!

Hey ..thats a great litter. If I am understanding you ..those are from a normal to normal breeding? I thought they were Salmons from the pics. Please post pics of mom and dad. They are some great looking boas..they have a look of Salmontines to them. Thanks Andy

i contacted the breeder from the boa daddy and he told me that he has only 2 litters in the last year,he has allways breed the red/orange guys to normal females and all 2 litters come babys with intensiv red/orange and some babys has crazy pattern!!

is it possible that this is a dominant or co-dominant line??

i breed last year 1 baby from the "grandfather" to a normal female and i also get this year 21 babys, all very red/orange and 16 with "crazy" pattern.

i will breed next year the boy again to a normal female and i hope i can also breed to his sister, the sister is end this year ready to breed.

is it possible that this can be a new line of boa morphs?
