Of course I am not the one who started the Sunsets, but this is what I know of them.

Hypo BCI x Hogg = Crosses

Cross x Cross = Sunset

So the initial clutch will have to be raised and then bred back to a sibling or another Hypo Hogg cross in order to get a Sunset.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

That is right as far as I know. The ones now offered are third generation.

The Super Hypos of the cross X cross breeding are the sunsets.

Hey Shawn, have you ever bred a sibling to a sibling before? I am wondering what kind of defects would result. I know it has been done by people out there just wondering what could happen. Thanks Andy

Hypo X Hog = 1/2 Hypo/Hogs & 1/2 normal/Hog

Hypo/Hog X Hypo/Hog = 1/4 Supers(Sunsets), 1/2 Hypo/Hogs, & 1/4 normal/hogs.

I think you can only guess which ones are Sunsets by their appearance and you are left guessing until you prove them out by breeding them.
