SHHAWKE Mar 09, 2005 07:05 AM

WELL I WEND HOME AND LOOKED OVER THE CAGES AGAIN AND I CAN NOT SEE ANY LOGICAL REASON FOR THE PROBLEM... SO I CALLED CAGES MY DESIGN AND TOLD THEM I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM AND THEY TOLD ME TO JUST MAIL THEM BACK AND THEY WOULD REFUND ME... I WAS EXPECTING THEM TO ADVISE A DIFFERENT SETUP BUT THEY DIDENT... I I GUESS I AM SHIPPING THEM BACK...

BUT NOW I AM IN A BIT OF A CRUNCH... MY GIRLFRIEND IS COMMING BACK ON THE 16TH... AND THATS COMMING UP KINDA QUICK... SO I NEED SOME CAGES...

I HAVE SEEN A CAGE ONLINE ON EBAY THAT I LIKE... BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT ITS CALLED OR WHO MAKES IT...
THAY HAVE A FIBERGLASS OR PLASTIC BODY AND IT HAS ONE PIECE OF SLIDING GLASS ON THE FRONT... AND THE GLASS IS AT A SLIGHT ANGLE... AND IT HAS TO SCREEN VENTS ON THE TOP...
I THINK I DESCRIBED IT ENOUGH FOR U TO GET THE IDEA...

HAS ANYONE TRIED THESE??? ARE THEY ANY GOOD???

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION IS WHERE CAN I BUT THEM IN BULK... I NEED TO KNOW WHO MAKES THEM...
IF ANYONE THINKS THEIR A BAD CAGE PLEASE SAY SO FAST, BECAUSE I NEED NEW CAGES IN A HURRY...

AND IF ANYONE HAS A BETTER IDEA PLEASE LET ME KNOW...

THANKS

SHILOH

Try looking at some of the cages at barrs.com under their arboreal section. They have some great cages which i use as a rack type system, if you dont want to order them with the screen top for the lights on top, ask them to make a full close cage, that way your humidity levels will be higher and easyer to maintain. Also you are going to need to order some heat panels for them if you dont already have some. The advantage of these cages is that they are easy to clean, economic and fast in shipping. i currently own 16 of them and use them with my heat panels and they work great (humidity maintenance, temperature, etc....) If you have any questions on how i set up mine, pictures, dont hesitate to e-mail me.(coneroks1@aol.com)

The big downside to those you describe on ebay are that they have vents on the top. this will make them very hard to heat and keep the humidity controlled. One thing you want to focus on cages is to put the vents on the bottom. Heat rises and will go right out of those vents, and carry every last drop of humidity with it. They would need to be covered.

BARRs can put the vents wherever you want them. Plus they are easily tipped over to any direction you want them. So if you want those top vents (from the ones you bought on EBAY, for example) on the bottom, just turn the cage over. I have lots of BARRs cages and none of them have vents on the top, although they are not the arboreal cages. I ordered mine with back vents.
