Filstar tube cleaning

Hi all,
I bought an XP3 a few months ago and I love it, it has made my life so much easier. The in/out tubes are starting to look pretty cruddy, I'd like to clean them but remember how hard they were to put on in the first place, wonder if I'll even be able to take them off! Any suggestions, has anyone done this yet?
