Yep. We've heard tell of these. Thanks for the link though!
William Wuster posts here on occasion, btw.
That's Dr. Wolfgang Wuster. Don't know why I typed William...sheesh.
I'd like to see some live specimens of these guys someday...
If the piebald D. melanurus Lloyd Lemke acquired many years ago were actually D. caudomaculatus.
Has anyone on here ever seen a photo of those, or better yet, have a first hand account of them?
Jeff
Funny thing, I saw those Piebald "Melanarus" of Lloyds and was fascinated by them. Think they were Caudromaculatus? Mmmmm
Sincerly,
Fred
I've been wondering that very thing ever since Dr WW let us know about the new species. Some day we'll have them to work with... someday.

I have a photo of the original female that LLoyd had. In fact I had a pair of her babies several years ago. I believe they are all dead now. They never did thrive. I will look for my photo and scan it in soon.
She was really unusual looking with the front have looking exactly like a melanurus but the black tail was instead speckled white with no black.

Should yo ube able to locate that photo, I, for one, would love to see it..
Best regards,
Jeff
