Do some lines of Hypos tend to lighten and color up as they get older?

DavidKendrick Mar 09, 2005 01:43 PM

I was curious if anyone had experience with hypos, that as babies are dark and lighten up with age, and color up with age? Or do most darken with age? I am used to Jungle carpets that you don't know there potential till they are older, just curious if salmons are the same way, and has anyone held on to a low quality salmon only to later see that it turned out Really nice??

The only thing i've seen that lightens up and colors up into adulthood, not fading and darkening, is the Harlequin.. same for the Salmon Harlequins.

As far as lines go it pretty much will be variable as with anything else.. But I have seen several drab neos end up beautiful adults..

Here is my Ronne produced hypo female..

Sorry for the poor quality of the first pic (was taken before I purchased a better camera)

And this is how she looks now.
