i keep a baby collared in very large cage with an adult desert iguana. they get along very well.i think my collared thinks hes a desert iguana, because he does everything the desert iguana does.he has his own side of the cage with a rocky habitat and a basking spot, but he prefers to hang out in the sand with the desert ig.besides eating crickets and other insects i also see him eating greens right next to the desert iguana.im not saying iv'e seen him just do it once, but many times. the collared lizard even shares the same burrow in the sand with the desert iguana.its very strange.i just wanted to make sure its even safe for a collared to be eating vegetables. because it doesnt seem like a natural thing for them to do.
