Jim and all,
I have been lucky so far....
I have a pair of alterna that have hooked up twice.
Also, my pair of orange milksnake phase thayeri from Vivid hooked up for the first time ever last night...I am excited about that pair.
I have my Dark female Mexmex and my light splitbanded male mexmex paired now since the female just shed. I also have another pair of thayeri paired since the female just shed.
I know this does not belong here but my male striped blonde calking hooked up with a normal banded female last night...
Love is in the air over here.....

This is a pic before brumation not of them breeding....

They are hooked up but you really cant see it well in the pic. I did not want to disturb them...LOL

How is it going over there Jim??
You ready for some new ones???
John Lassiter

Here is a Lajitas female that will breed next year if I get a male Lajitas for her. She is from Don Shores.
Nice diamond primaries and some good alternates....

Uncloudy Mar 11, 2005 11:24 PM

John,
That last pic of the alterna is one the best I've seen besides your other gigantic alternas.
I can't remember if I asked you this question;
Have you breed the dark phase mex mex to the splitband before?
If so, what were the results?
Good luck on breeding,
Uncloudy

Chris,
I have never bred light splitband mexmex to a dark mexmex before...
That is why I have been anticipating this year's breeding project with them so badly.....
And even though I believe Alterna to be Mexicana the correct name is Lampropeltis Alterna....Without Mexicana
John Lassiter Wish me luck.............

I will be making room for the anticipation!
Jim
