Do the 'Belly Roll'....

Markus Jayne Mar 10, 2005 06:56 AM

How many times in the last year have people asked to see a belly shot? Yeah if I had a dollar....

Problem solved! Check out the 'Belly Roll' on the Yellow Belly page. Hover to roll and click to see both a belly and side view.

I've done it for other morphs as well with strange bellies!

Have fun!

Are all those bells and whistles built into the Dream Weaver Software? Or are you writing that stuff in?

Very Professional Markus.......nice job!

Hi Jim!

They are all part of Dreamweaver. I made all the animated gifs with fireworks which came with DreamweaverMX.

Have you found the snake with the flicking tongue yet? Clue...pastel.

First thing I did was go out purchase a bunch of expensive instruction books. The second thing I did was get really frustrated trying to make any sense out of the books!!! So then I hired a website designer to sit down with and over 6 hours he showed me the basics. Then I ran with it on my own.

I probably put over 200 hours in the site! Just ask my wife! If I had to do it all over again I could probably do it quicker, but not by much. The photography took a lot of time as well and that is not included in the 200 hours.

It was a lots of fun doing though...but now I need a holiday and then I'm on to one for my wifes business and a new one for Greg Graziani.

LOL glad to hear that you got frustrated. I ended up quitting last night because I could not get my rollover buttons to work properly. But I got all that figured out this morning. I guess there is hope. Congratulations on the site, definitely one of the best reptile sites Ive seen.

There are TONS of forums online to walk you through any Dreamweaver or Fireworks problem. Once you use Dreamweaver, most of the options start becoming intuitive and its really really easy to get things snowballing. Meaning, you start learning stuff in HUGE chunks. Once you do that, you'll never look back.

If you have a specific query on how you should do something, type that into google or yahoo, and a TON of forums will come up that deal with those very problems. Chances are, if you are encountering it, its very common. And even more commonly documented and helped online.

Thanks Jeff, Im working on a degree in graphic design and this is my first time dealing with dreamweaver, fireworks, and flash. I just got all the software for home so I can play with it at my own pace. Thanks again.

You're site is AWESOME!! I'm into computer graphics, and website development, and I don't think I could do much better. I'm just getting into the Ball game, and have had a lot of thoughts about how I want my site to look. This is it - very informative too!!
Thanks,
Ken

Awesome addition to an already awesome site. My question is why no belly roll shot of the cinnamon pastels!? That is probably one of the ones people want to see most.

Markus Jayne Mar 10, 2005 05:55 PM

It is coming. As mentioned on my page, all the animals are photos of Greg Grazianis. I don't actually own a cinnamon but I do own a Pewter. I hope to produce some cinnamons this year because my Pewter has been breeding well. Greg is actually sending me some belly shots and then I can insert the belly roll.

Thanks for the compliments!
