I have a Jeweled Curly Tailed Lizard that had been on sand since December. After an incident with his (now former) cagemate had a pretty bad tail injury and has been moved to paper towels while healing. In this time it has become apparent to me that he had been ingesting very small amount of sand. Is there a good alternative that will still allow him to burrow but be safer for him? I had thought about dried Bed-A-Beast but didn't know how that would work.
