My BRB is 1.5 yrs and I believe ready to switch from jumbo mice to rats. Right now, I feed her 1-2 jumbo mice per week and the jumbo mice, which I raise and are big and old, don't seem to make much of a bulge in her body. I believe I am ready to switch to small rats from jumbo mice.

Would small rats be the right size or go to medium rats?
With rats should the feeding be one rat every two weeks or continue at 1 per week?
Do BRBs switch to rats from mice easily?

I tend to think with my BRB having a very strong feeding response she will switch with no problem just as long as the f/t rat is warmed up to her liking.
Any responses on your experience would be greatly appreciated.

....Most BRBs switch easily from mice to rats. Feed rats that are large enough that they make a noticeable bulge in the snake for a day or two after feeding. Feed often enough so that the snake continues to grow at a reasonable rate but does not become obese. I have some that are around 20 months old and they eat one or two small to medium rats every 7 to 10 days.
