Can the marbled borneo gene be breed into red bloods?

Simpler question would be can boreno's and bloods be crossed if attempting to mix interesting traits?

I asked a similar question last week on another forum. It is possible to breed them together, however the end result is far from pretty. It is also shunned by most of the more "well-known" breeders. I have to say though, a nice marbled Borneo is one beautiful snake!
