In my experience with Thayeri I can tell you that they grow at a rather slow pace. I have heard of people breeding males at 18 months of age but I have personally bred them at 2 1/2 years of age. I go by a 30 inch rule with all my Mexicana. Males can be slightly smaller than 30 inches but must be good a healthy looking and over 225 grams. All my female breeders are over 30 inches and close to 300 grams....A couple are nearly 450 grams, but they are large for Thayeri.
I hope this helps,

Here is a pic of my Vivid orange milksnake pair of Thayeri.

John that is an incredible snake! Any full body shots?

jlassiter Mar 11, 2005 11:36 AM

This is the closest thing I got right now of a full body shot.
She is awful "shiny". She brings new meaning to Lampropeltis...."shiny shields"
Also....I haven't seen to many buckskin milksnake phase thayeri.
Thanks for the compliment Tony,
John Lassiter
