Help with green stool Please !!!

Gadzooks Mar 10, 2005 09:04 PM

Both of my males have stopped eating this last month (although all of my females are doing great) One in particular has concerned me because I found a green runny foul smelling stool in his container. Could this be coccidia? Am going to try some of Marcia Mcginnes lizard slurry tomorrow and was thinking about trying some albon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gadzooks

If I were you I would take the sickest male to the vet TOMORROW and not waste time trying to dose them myself, especially without knowing what they have, and albon I hear is quite hard on them, so you would not want to give them that unless they really need it. Vet ASAP. that is my advice.

I would ask you if they were on a substrate that they could get impacted from. My blizzard is still going through a bout of impactation, and she had green poop. If your vet says the stool is clean, check on X-ray for impactation. I am slurrying my gecko right now (difficult for me, for some reason,...) I hope everything turns out well for you.
